What happens if a contest ends in a tie?

Should there be a tie in earnings that will affect Qualifying spots or NHC Tour points, ties will be broken in accordance with the following procedures: (a) the entry with the highest number of WIN horses selected will win the tie; if a tie still remains, then (b) the entry with the highest combined mutuel payout total for all WIN horses will win the tie; if a tie still remains, then (c) the entry with the highest number of PLACE horses selected will win the tie; if a tie still remains, then (d) the entry with the highest combined mutuel payout total for all PLACE horses will win the tie; if a tie still remains, then (e) the entry with the highest number of SHOW horses selected will win the tie; if a tie still remains, then (f) the entry with the highest combined mutuel payout total for all SHOW horses will win the tie; if a tie still remains, then (g) the entry with the highest individual mutuel SHOW payout will win the tie; if a tie still remains, then (h) the winning entry will be determined by a random draw among eligible entries.

If a tie exists in a Round One or Feeder contest for the final advancement position to Round Two, all tied entries will advance to Round Two. In this case, the total number of Round 2 entries shall be calculated as if only the last position (original number) advanced and not all of the tied positions.

Should a tie exist for credit earnings, the players will evenly split the credits for those placings.
